Vacation Part 3: Portage, Utah

All the kids at my sister's house.

Katie with Tremonton's most beautiful baby, Meadow.

Me and Donna.

Love ya sisters! :)

Vacation Part 2: Honeyville, Utah

Yes, this is in my aunt and uncle's backyard.
Summer Mondays are spent across the street at their man-made lake.
Here's Tyler going down the slide.

Going home after the lake.

My boys and Sunni going for a ride.

All I can say is I wish I had a video.

Just another view.

Jaden playing soccer (or some version of the game) with Sunni, Garrett and Logan.

Every day was filled with so much fun that the boys slept great every night.

We played more hands of scum than I can count.

My aunt Karen reading to Jaden and Russell.

Henry, Tyler and Jaden didn't mind the slight hill the ladder was on. They climbed anyway and picked cherries right from the tree. They were yummy!

One night for dinner we had dutch oven chicken, potatoes and strawberry-rhubarb crisp.

I was impressed at how my aunt and cousin just threw some ingredients together and Jeff did the cooking. Loved it!

My uncles pride and joy is this "big red barn" that serves as a family wreck hall.
Here's the inside. It's got an upstairs room and a full kitchen. They used a projector to play a movie one night, while some of us played more cards. Here's Lana helping Jaden get some popcorn.

Jaden and Dad being crazy.

Vacation Part 1: Logan, Utah

We visited Jeff's parents in Logan, Utah for about a week.
Here, Jeff's reading to our niece, Rylie.
Leave it to Jaden to find new and weird places to pose and make faces.

It's an ongoing tradition for the boys to ride Papa's lawn mower whenever we're there. This was the first time they both got to do it by themselves. They were so proud and had tons of fun.

Their neighbor's dog, Izzy, loved all the attention from the kids.

Or maybe she was a little scared at times.

The sun doesn't set until really late in Utah so we did a few fireworks a little early.

Jaden's first sparkler of the night. We reminded him not to touch it and to hold it away from himself, but Jaden just has to do what he's not supposed to...

and he ended up with his fingers in cold water for the rest of the night.

Tyler and Dad being silly

Jaden couldn't wait to eat his cupcake with all the blue sprinkles.

There's never a dull moment when there's an air hockey table in the basement.

my weird boy

Tyler's been squinting a lot lately. It's gotten a little annoying because he won't say anything about it other than he likes to wink. My cousin suggested getting his eyes checked so I was talking to Jeff about it today with Tyler listening. Once he realized I was taking him to the doctor he said "Oh all right, I'll tell you. The truth is, I have a horrible habit." Then he went on to explain how he likes to wink but if he winks one eye he has to wink the other. So is he a little compulsive or does he need glasses? My mommy-gut tells me it's his eyes because he's really squinting all the time, not exactly like a wink. I guess we'll have to find out.

This is over at the community pool. The boys had tons of fun in these fountains until some bigger boys came over and started running into them. No biggie, we just jumped in the pool.

And yes, those are my toes. That wasn't on purpose. :) Tyler always runs from the camera but he was there.
